Responsible gambling

Betting should be entertainment, never a way to make money or escape problems. Here is how to stay in control and where to get help.

1Our commitment

BetVibe is for adults aged 18 and over. We verify age at registration, we do not target minors or vulnerable people in our marketing, and we act on any sign that play is causing harm.

Our staff are trained to recognise risky patterns and to offer limits, breaks or self-exclusion rather than encourage more play.

2The golden rules

Keep these in mind every session:

  • Only stake money you can genuinely afford to lose.
  • Set a budget and a time limit before you start, and stop when you reach either.
  • Never chase losses — increasing stakes to win back money is the fastest route to harm.
  • Never borrow to gamble, and never gamble to solve a financial problem.
  • Do not gamble when angry, stressed, depressed or under the influence of alcohol.
  • Balance betting with other activities and keep it a small part of your life.

3Understand the odds

Every game on BetVibe has a built-in house edge, and results are random. A game's return-to-player figure is a long-run statistical average across millions of rounds — it does not predict your session.

There is no system, pattern or strategy that beats a random game over time. A run of losses does not make a win due.

4Warning signs

Gambling may be becoming a problem if you recognise yourself in any of these:

  • Spending more time or money on betting than you planned.
  • Betting bigger amounts to feel the same excitement.
  • Chasing losses, or betting to recover money you need for something else.
  • Borrowing money, selling things or missing bills to fund play.
  • Lying to family or friends about how much you bet.
  • Feeling restless, anxious or irritable when you try to cut back.
  • Neglecting work, study, family or health because of gambling.

5Tools we offer

Contact our support team through live chat, WhatsApp or the helpline in the footer and we will apply any of these to your account:

  • Deposit limits — a daily, weekly or monthly ceiling on what you can pay in.
  • Loss and stake limits — a cap on how much you can lose or stake in a period.
  • Reality checks — periodic reminders of how long you have been playing.
  • Cooling-off — a short break of 24 hours to 30 days with your account locked.
  • Self-exclusion — a longer lock of six months, one year, five years or permanently.
  • Account closure — a full close, with any withdrawable balance paid out.

6How self-exclusion works

During self-exclusion you cannot log in, deposit or place bets, and we remove you from all marketing. Any withdrawable balance is paid to your registered M-Pesa number.

A self-exclusion cannot be reversed before it ends. When the period expires, reactivation is not automatic — you must contact support and complete a cooling-off conversation first.

7Protecting minors

It is illegal for anyone under 18 to gamble. Do not let children use your device while you are logged in, keep your password private, and log out when you finish.

Parental control and filtering tools such as Net Nanny, Qustodio and Google Family Link can block gambling sites on devices shared with children.

8Where to get help in Kenya
